Three Food Rules to Follow

According to the research done by Dr. Walter Willett at Harvard School of Public Health, we should at the least follow these basic food rules for a healthier life.

1) Avoid Sugary Beverages.Avoid soda and fruit juices. Instead, drink water and eat the whole fruit.
2) Replace Refined Grains. When eating grains and other starches, replace refined grains and white potatoes (which metabolically function like refined grains) with whole grains. This helps reduce blood sugar surges.
3) Replace Red Meat with Healthier Sources of Protein.Eating tofu, beans, legumes, and even small amounts of other meat sources is a healthier option to prevent cardiovascular disease.
